I know we’re all busy and worn out from the election season but humor me and let’s step back to this date in 2009 for a minute.
The average price for a gallon of gas was $2.82, our national inflation rate was -.2%, Obama was in his first term, Avatar was about to be released, and the Black Eyed Peas were at the top of the music chart.
On this same date, this 23 year old know-it-all kid was filing the paperwork to found what now, 13 years later, is the largest center-right political company in Illinois, with a team and clients scattered across the state, country, and even the globe.
The lasting impact we have made is much greater than could have been expected when this all started in my small apartment in the center of the crime hotspot in Palatine. And like most stepping into their teenage years, we’re excited to embrace change. This time next year when you are receiving our 14-year anniversary email, I can tell you there will be a lot to unpack, because 13 is going to be our boldest year yet!
Until then, there are 10 days until one of the most consequential elections in our history and there’s a lot of work left to do to get good candidates across the goal line. Momentum is on our side and the numbers are breaking our way, election night is gonna be a party if we sprint across the finish line.
From everyone who has been here from the start to our newest friends, thank you for being a vital part of our mission and success.
On behalf of everyone at Cor Strategies,
Collin Corbett
P.S. If you know me well, you know I’ll be enjoying a cigar and some Irish whiskey “strictly” out of celebration for 13 years of Cor. I’ll suffer through it.
