Cash Left in the Till? Here’s How to Spend it.

We’re hearing from a lot of campaigns wondering how they can spend any remaining funds in these final days.

While there isn’t time to push out a mailing or get verified for texting, there is still time to do a few things:

  1. Digital Ads: OTT, IP Targeting, & Search Engine Ads
    1. Do you have a campaign video? We’ll help you set up OTT (over-the-top) ads to put your campaign video in front of voters in your district on streaming platforms. These ads are cheaper than traditional TV ads but yield a similar impact for your campaign, while allowing for hyper-targeting. Plus, they can get rolling quickly.
    2. Do you have graphics with your name, logo, and message? We’ll turn your graphics into content for IP targeting. Wherever your targeted voters go across the internet, they’ll see your ads, increasing the likelihood they will remember your name and message when they cast their ballot. It will take less than 12 hours for voters to see your ads once they are set up.
    3. Do you have voting information on your website? These final days are when people will be Googling to find when and where to vote, and with search engine ads in place, your campaign will be the first result they see and will allow you to capture this traffic on your website where they’ll interact with your messaging.
  2. Telecom: Texting & Robocalls
    1. Have you completed the verification process? If you’re set up for texting, now is the time to get out that final text. You have time to do as many as two. First, a persuasion text encouraging voters to respond with any questions they have before voting, giving you a chance to reply and try to earn their vote. Then, a GOTV text giving them information on where and how to cast their ballots.
    2. Are you targeting seniors in your campaign? Unlike texting, there isn’t a verification process for robocalls. While this outreach method is 99% dead, there is still a small subset you can reach who still have landlines: seniors. We’ve found that informational calls at the end that provide value (like giving voting information and offering voting assistance) are well received. We’ll help you record your message and dial voters in your district so you can be one of the last candidates they hear from before casting their ballot.
