Use These Tips When Talking to Voters This Weekend
March 13, 2025

Even if we didn’t have this warm weather, we know you and your volunteers would still be out knocking on doors because early voting starts in earnest next week! Are you and your volunteers saying the right things at the door, on the phone with voters, and on social media?

Right now is when conversations with voters matter most. 0b5e97e9-ed04-4d9d-a1fe-e4c66c6867d8

Collin Corbett and Cor’s grassroots expert Chris Jackowiak discuss how you can effectively utilize your messaging to have the most positive impact when talking to voters these final weeks.

Knowing how to effectively deliver your messaging is what makes or breaks a quality person-to-person interaction. But doing so while having real human interactions is key! You and your team shouldn’t be robots—you should be having unique conversations with each voter because the election is about them.

Your superpower is the question mark. Don’t talk at the voter, have a conversation with them. Ask them what matters to them and talk about how you would address their concerns if you win. The same goes for your volunteers—they should be empowered to share stories about what motivated them to get involved so they can have a real conversation with the voter.

Your volunteers and supporters can move the needle for your campaign more than you think. 1a75b590-6287-45a4-a71c-0f8f94bbfca3

Ryan Kilduff and Lane Davis talk with Collin Corbett about how volunteers who are properly equipped with messaging can be even more effective than a campaign mail piece.

Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But will never forget how you made them feel.” Having real and personal conversations with voters, not just word-vomiting talking points, will make them feel confident in you and trust that you deserve their vote. It’s interactions like these that actually make voters take action to learn more about you, support your campaign, and go vote.
