Collin shares that he has registered as an Independent and is taking a leave of absence from Cor, with a message from the Cor Strategies team on how operations continue under Ryan's leadership this election cycle.
As you've likely already seen or heard, I have some personal news: I have officially become an Independent. I won't rehash my reasons here; you're welcome to watch our last Smoke-Filled Room to learn more or connect with me on Facebook or Twitter.
I'm not wired to just point out a problem—I also must do something to solve it. I'll have more soon on what I plan to do to fix our broken political system.
In the meantime, I am taking a leave of absence from Cor. I do not want to hurt any of our candidates or clients with my personal decision, nor do I want to hurt our Cor team. Below is a note from them.
—Collin
Cor Strategies is not going anywhere. Our internal Operations, Strategy, and Messaging teams who have helped campaigns win across Illinois are sticking together to help make sure Republicans on the federal, statewide, legislative, and county level have big wins this General Election.
While Cor Strategies was founded by Collin, Ryan has long held the reins of the company, leading the Cor team and serving as the main point of contact for all our clients. Moving forward, that will continue. And, hey, ask any of our clients, they like Ryan more than Collin anyways. [From Collin: I admit, this is true…]
Cor Strategies will always be bigger than one person. Between the news coverage and talk of Collin's exit, we understand this is new, but our team at Cor Strategies is still here. Even beyond Ryan, there are plenty of people who have stepped up within the company so we can continue our fight to elect more center-right candidates this November.
We're excited to continue the work we're passionate about and to work alongside party organizations, volunteers, and candidates throughout Illinois and across the country!
Reach out to us by responding to this email or connecting with one of our team members directly to discuss how the Cor team can help this election.
