Nate Plautz was born and raised in northern Illinois. His first political experience was as a congressional intern his senior year of high school. Nate has worked campaigns from city council – to state representative – to U.S. Congress, and just about everything in between.
In a hyper-partisan world, Nate adamantly believes that any person can be reached with a carefully tailored message that appeals to both the heart and the mind. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and plans to go back to school and pursue a master’s in communication.
Nate lives in Monterrey, Mexico with his two cats Lily and Jojo. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing (poorly), exploring new places, taste-testing all the mezcals, and fighting back tears as he pretends the local food, “Totally isn’t that spicy, you guys.”
